Dengue Situation in Mayotte. Epidemiological Update as of August 13, 2014.
Analysis of the Epidemiological Situation
The monitored epidemiological indicators (weekly number of biologically confirmed dengue cases and positivity rate) have continued to decline since July, but sporadic cases continue to be identified, suggesting that viral circulation persists at a low level on the island. Despite the observed decline in indicators, dengue transmission remains active; the highest level of vigilance must be maintained to limit the risk of a renewed surge in transmission.
