Epidemiological Situation

Since the beginning of the year, five clusters of dengue cases have been identified in Saint Pierre, Saint Gilles les Hauts, La Possession, Bellemène, and La Saline les Bains, indicating the presence of virus transmission chains on the island. Six cases were detected in La Saline-les-Bains in June. The epidemiological situation corresponds to Alert Level 2A* of the arbovirus control plan (“Identification of moderate indigenous viral circulation”).
