Epidemiological Situation

Dengue virus circulation is intensifying on the island, primarily in the municipality of Saint-Louis. Cases of dengue are also continuing to be identified in Saint-Leu, Saint-Joseph, Le Tampon, and Saint-Pierre. Three serotypes of the dengue virus are currently co-circulating on the island.As current conditions are particularly favorable for the vector, viral circulation could continue to intensify in the coming weeks. The epidemiological situation corresponds to Alert Level 2A* of the arbovirus control plan: "Identification of moderate indigenous viral circulation."
