Epidemiological Situation

The dengue virus continues to circulate actively in several municipalities in the south and west of the island, with three serotypes (DENV-1, 2, and 3) circulating simultaneously. Furthermore, the emergence of cases in new areas raises concerns about a geographical spread of viral circulation. In light of this situation, Level 2B of the Orsec Plan’s arbovirus control measures (“Intensification of indigenous viral circulation and risk of progression to an epidemic”) remains in effect.
