Epidemiological Surveillance of Leptospirosis in Mayotte. Update as of March 14, 2012.

Leptospirosis is not a reportable disease. In Mayotte, it is subject to specific surveillance, with all confirmed diagnoses (by RT-PCR) reported by the laboratory at the Mayotte Hospital Center (CHM) to the Indian Ocean Health Agency’s (ARS-OI) health surveillance and emergency response platform. Each report is investigated to assess exposure factors.
