Chikungunya

  • Since the beginning of 2025, more than 33,000 biologically confirmed cases and 91,500 medical consultations for chikungunya have been recorded on the island. The epidemic is still ongoing, with 4,913 confirmed cases and 19,600 medical consultations reported in Week 14. The epidemic is widespread and major.

  • Since week 11, 41 severe cases of chikungunya have been reported in elderly individuals or infants who presented with a severe clinical condition requiring intensive care.

Leptospirosis

  • A seasonal resurgence is underway, with 65 reported cases, nearly half of which are in the southern part of the island.

Acute respiratory infections

  • Indicators in primary care and hospitals have remained at low levels with no public health impact for several weeks.
