Seasonal Spike in Asthma Visits in Réunion

Since the beginning of April, a seasonal increase in asthma-related visits has been observed in the emergency departments of Réunion. Following an investigation by hospital pulmonologists, this increase appears to be linked to climatic factors (high humidity levels) and infectious factors (circulation of agents such as respiratory syncytial virus).

Update on the conjunctivitis outbreak in Mayotte

The conjunctivitis outbreak that began in February in Mayotte is still ongoing in the north of the island and in Mamoudzou, where activity reported by sentinel physicians for conjunctivitis remains high, though it is not increasing further. In the south, the number of cases observed is decreasing. There are no updated data for Petite Terre.
