Over the past week in the region:

• An increase in the number of emergency room visits by infants under one year of age at the regional level;

• An increase in bronchiolitis diagnoses made by emergency room physicians at Nantes University Hospital and by the two SOS Médecin associations;

• A gradual increase in the circulation of RSV (respiratory syncytial virus) in Nantes and Angers

Indicators point to a bronchiolitis outbreak that began one to two weeks ago in the eastern part of the region (Angers and Le Mans) and more recently in the Nantes area.
