COVID-19
In S48, viral circulation appears to be increasing. As of December 4, 2022, the number of patients currently hospitalized in general wards has risen slightly compared to the previous Sunday, while the number of patients hospitalized in intensive care units due to COVID-19 remains stable.
Bronchiolitis
Epidemic phase.
SOS Médecins: 38 consultations for bronchiolitis were conducted in Week 48, accounting for 20.9% of all consultations for children under 2 years of age, an increase compared to Week 47 (12.4%).
Emergency departments: 15 visits for bronchiolitis were recorded in emergency departments in week 48, representing 14.8% of all visits by children under 2 years of age, down from week 47 (19 visits, or 18.3% of consultations). In addition, three hospitalizations for bronchiolitis were recorded following an emergency department visit among children under 2 years of age (vs. 7 the previous week).
Influenza
Pre-epidemic.
SOS Médecins: 83 consultations for influenza-like illness were conducted by SOS Médecins in Week 48, representing 3.2% of total activity, a slight increase compared to the previous week (2.1%).
Sentinelles Network: In week 47, the incidence rate for influenza-like illnesses, not yet finalized, was 10 per 100,000 inhabitants (95% CI [0; 31]). In week 47, this rate was 45 per 100,000 inhabitants (95% CI [10; 80]).
Emergency departments: 11 visits related to influenza-like illness were recorded in emergency departments in week 48, representing 0.6% of total emergency department visits; activity remains very low, as in previous weeks. No hospitalizations were recorded in week 48, compared to 1 the previous week.
Acute gastroenteritis
SOS Médecins - The proportion of consultations for a diagnosis of gastroenteritis is slightly increasing.
Sentinelles Network - No cases of acute diarrhea were reported by the Sentinelles network in week 48. The incidence rate for acute diarrhea in week 47 was 10 per 100,000 inhabitants (95% CI [0; 27]).
Emergency departments - The proportion of visits for gastroenteritis is rising very slightly.
