In S18, viral circulation is declining sharply. The number of active hospitalizations across all departments is down slightly but remains very high, and the number of active ICU patients is decreasing slightly.

Flu
First week post-epidemic;
Emergency departments — Six visits related to flu-like illness were recorded in the emergency departments in Week 18, representing 0.3% of total emergency department visits. This proportion is significantly lower than the previous week (1.2%). No hospitalizations were recorded in Week 18, compared to 3 the previous week;
SOS Médecins — Twenty-four consultations for influenza-like illness were conducted by SOS Médecins in Week 18, representing 1.9% of total activity. This proportion is lower than the previous week (4.0%);
Sentinelles Network — In Week 18, the incidence rate for influenza-like illnesses, not yet finalized, is 80 per 100,000 inhabitants (95% CI [6; 154]). In week 17, this rate was 90 per 100,000 inhabitants (95% CI [25; 155]);
Virological surveillance — In total, since the start of surveillance (week 2021-S40), 3 rhinoviruses, 1 enterovirus, 1 parainfluenza virus, 4 metapneumoviruses, 3 SARS-CoV-2, 3 RSV, 6 influenza A H3N2, 5 seasonal coronaviruses, and 2 adenoviruses have been isolated by physicians in the Sentinelles network from a total of 42 specimens.
