  • Viral circulation continues to rise sharply

Acute gastroenteritis

  • Emergency departments: the proportion of visits for gastroenteritis is stable

  • SOS Médecins: The proportion of visits for a diagnosis of gastroenteritis is stable

  • Sentinelles Network: the incidence rate for acute diarrhea reported by the Sentinelles Network in week 02, not yet consolidated, is 118 per 100,000 inhabitants (95% CI [54; 182])

Influenza

  • Transition to epidemic phase

  • Emergency departments: Emergency department activity related to flu-like syndromes is on the rise

  • SOS Médecins: The proportion of consultations for a diagnosis of influenza-like illness is on the rise

  • Sentinelles Network: The incidence rate for influenza-like illness reported by the Sentinelles Network in week 03, not yet consolidated, is 201 per 100,000 inhabitants (95% CI [119; 283])

  • Virological surveillance: since the start of surveillance, the Rénal network has isolated 350 type A viruses, and doctors in the Sentinelles network have isolated 8 type A influenza viruses (data not available for the week analyzed and incomplete for week 03)

  • Severe influenza cases: 6 cases admitted to intensive care were reported by the intensive care sentinel networks
