Key Points

COVID-19

  • Moderate increase in viral circulation as measured by biological indicators. Most other indicators monitored as part of this surveillance show increases of varying degrees or have stabilized.

Chikungunya, dengue, Zika

  • Since the start of enhanced surveillance, 21 imported cases of dengue and 1 imported case of chikungunya have been identified in the region.

  • Three episodes of local dengue transmission have been identified.

Monkeypox

  • As of September 27, 2022, 271 confirmed cases among residents of the Paca region had been reported.

Asthma

  • As is the case every year, emergency departments see an increase in visits for asthma among children in September, coinciding with the start of the school year. This trend is also observed by the SOS Médecins organizations.
