Key Points
Influenza and Flu-Like Illnesses
End of the epidemic.
Declining activity in the community and in hospitals. The proportion of hospitalizations following a visit to the emergency department for flu-like symptoms is increasing, but the numbers remain low.
The 2024–2025 epidemic lasted 10 weeks, and the Corsica region remained in the post-epidemic phase for 3 weeks.
Bronchiolitis (under 2 years of age)
End of the epidemic.
Activity is decreasing in outpatient settings and tending to stabilize in hospitals with very low case numbers. The only two children seen in the emergency department with a diagnosis of bronchiolitis in S12 were hospitalized.
The 2024–2025 epidemic lasted 6 weeks, and the Corsica region remained in the post-epidemic phase for 4 weeks.
Covid-19
Very low activity, stable in the city and at the hospital.
Allergy and Pollen Risk
The projected health impact of pollen is high in Corsica, primarily due to Cupressaceae pollen (source: RNSA).
