Dengue, Chikungunya, and Zika

  • No new locally transmitted cases have been reported in Corsica since week 33. The total stands at 3 outbreaks and 18 cases of locally transmitted chikungunya.

  • In mainland France, as of October 13, 90 outbreaks of local vector-borne transmission have been identified: 78 chikungunya outbreaks (+3 compared to last week) and 12 dengue outbreaks (no change from last week).

  • Summary of imported cases in Corsica: 6 imported cases of dengue (+1) and 3 imported cases of chikungunya.

Asthma at the start of the school year

  • Asthma-related activity at SOS Médecins is slightly down (still higher than in previous years), while activity in emergency departments is slightly up (at the same level as in previous years).

Acute respiratory infections

  • Flu and flu-like syndromes: very low activity.

  • Bronchiolitis (under 1 year): very low activity.

  • COVID-19: activity slightly down at SOS Médecins, stable in emergency departments.
