Health Surveillance of Mortality. Weekly Update, December 23, 2019

Summary

Nationwide, in week 50 (December 9–15), mortality across all ages and causes remained within the usual range of fluctuation.

These observations should be interpreted with caution, as the data are not yet consolidated due to the usual delays in reporting. Their purpose is to describe trends in mortality without linking them to any current events.

According to data from electronic death certificates, 2,309 deaths were recorded in week 51 (December 16–22, 2019).
