Health Surveillance of Mortality. Weekly Update, June 5, 2018.
Summary
Nationally, the number of deaths recorded during Week 20 (May 14–20) by vital statistics offices remained within the usual range of variation for both adults aged 15–64 and those aged 65 and older (Figures 1–3). However, there was a slight increase in deaths among children under 15 during this week, which appears to be concentrated primarily in the Île-de-France region.
These observations should be interpreted with caution, as the data are not yet consolidated due to the usual transmission delays.
According to data from electronic certification, 1,679 deaths were recorded in week 22 (May 28 to June 3) (Figure 4).
