  • Nationally, based on INSEE data, the number of deaths from all causes began to decline in Week 06, a trend that continued more markedly in Weeks 07 and 08. The figures appear to be returning to their usual range of fluctuation in Week 08 for all age groups and among people over 65.

  • The number of electronically certified deaths stabilized in week 09, following three weeks of decline.

  • An excess of deaths was observed in 7 metropolitan regions in Week 06, 6 regions in Week 07, and in no regions in Week 08 (unconsolidated figures).
