Health Surveillance of Mortality. Weekly Update, May 15, 2018.

Summary

Nationwide, mortality observed during April and the first week of May 2018 (weeks 14 through 18) falls within the usual range of variation across all age groups (Figures 1 through 3).This is also the case across all regions during weeks 16 to 18 (April 16 to May 6).

These observations should be interpreted with caution, as the data are not yet consolidated due to the usual reporting delays and the holiday period.

According to data from electronic certification, 1,532 deaths were recorded during week 19 (May 7–13).
