Key Points

  • Among children, throughout the month of November 2024, following the start of the school year in S45, emergency room visits and SOS Médecins calls increased across all indicators compared to October 2024. While the number of cases involving suicidal acts and suicidal ideation remained higher than in previous years, other indicators remained within normal ranges.

  • Among adults, emergency room visits and SOS Médecins interventions were stable or declining in November compared to October 2024, with the exception of SOS Médecins interventions for anxiety, which increased among those aged 18–24 and 65 and older. The number of visits for suicidal ideation and interventions for anxiety (ages 18–64) remained higher than in previous years.
