  • In Week 32 (August 5–11, 2024), emergency department visits and hospitalizations following such visits were stable or declining across all age groups compared to the previous week.

  • Seasonal indicators are mostly stable or declining, with the exception of visits for COVID-19 (+40%, or +77 visits) among children under 2 years of age and for allergies (+7%, or +37 visits) among children aged 2–14.

  • Among other indicators, among those aged 75 and older, there was an increase in visits for specific abdominal pain (+7%, or +136 visits), for nonspecific abdominal pain (+6%, or +97 visits), and for chest pain (+6%, or +86 visits).
