Summary

In Week 29 (July 13–19, 2020), total activity at SOS Médecins clinics increased among adults (+15%, or 6,890 visits) and remained stable among children.

Over the past week, medical procedures for suspected COVID-19 increased for the fourth consecutive week, with 3,163 procedures recorded (vs. 2,339 procedures in Week 28).
This increase is observed among adults (+47%, or +850 procedures), for whom the share of procedures for suspected COVID-19 in total activity has also risen to 5.4% (vs. 4.2% in Week 28).
The four regions with the fastest growth are Brittany (+88%), Centre-Val de Loire (+74%), Nouvelle-Aquitaine (+69%), and Grand-Est (+64%). Since the start of surveillance, 66,116 procedures for suspected COVID-19 have been performed.

Among other conditions, there has been an increase in procedures among adults for asthma (+47%, or +108 procedures), urinary tract infections (+21%, or +420 cases), and trauma (+6%, or +108 cases), and—exclusively among those aged 15–74—for ENT conditions (+29%, or +1,635 cases) and insect bites (+25%, or +138 cases).
Noteworthy, despite small sample sizes, is the increase in cases of general malaise (+22 cases) and isolated fevers (+24 cases) among those aged 75 and older.
