Key Points

  • In Week 27 (June 30–July 6, 2025), compared to the previous week, activity at SOS Médecins clinics remained stable across all age groups.

  • Due to weather conditions, the increase in heatstroke cases continued across all age groups (+110%, or +514 cases), with particularly sharp rises among adults (146%, or +417 cases) and children aged 2–14 (+53%, or +93 cases); the observed activity levels were higher than in the previous three summers. Furthermore, among adults, there was an increase in cases of dehydration (+42%, or +50 cases), as well as cases of fainting (+13%, or +42 cases, a higher level than in the previous three years). In moderate numbers, there was also an increase in cases of insect bites among children under 2 years old (+25%, or +19 cases) and among those aged 75 and older (+29%, or +16 cases). Among those aged 75 and older, procedures for general health deterioration (+15%, or +50 procedures) and for urinary tract infections (+7%, or +16 procedures) continued to rise this week.

  • There was also an increase in procedures related to infectious diseases:

    • upper respiratory tract conditions among children (+13%, or +1,396 visits) and among those aged 15–74 (+5%, or +394 visits);

    • isolated fever in children (+16%, or +184 cases) and in those aged 75 and older (+27%, or +19 cases).

  • There was also an increase in procedures related to mental health indicators, particularly among those aged 65 and older for anxiety and depressive disorders (up 9% and 26%, respectively, or 16 and 7 procedures) and for depressive disorders among those aged 15–44 (up 16%, or 27 procedures).
