Activity at SOS Médecins clinics remained stable over the period across all age groups, both nationally and regionally, with case numbers comparable to those of the 2010–2011 and 2011–2012 seasons for the same period. Nationally, there was a decline in activity among 5- to 14-year-olds (-19%). Flu-related activity is down (-26%, 5,805 cases) across all age groups, particularly among children under 15 (-38%, 1,530 cases). The reported figures are comparable to those of the 2011-2012 season for the same period and account for 7% of the associations’ total activity. This nationwide decline in influenza activity is also reported in the emergency departments of the OSCOUR® network. The same trend is observed in the regions except in the Île-de-France region and in the West and Southwest, where influenza activity remains stable. Among children under 2 years of age, bronchiolitis-related activity remained stable over the period (139 cases), with numbers comparable to those of the 2010-2011 and 2011-2012 seasons for the same period. Gastroenteritis activity remained stable over the period for all age groups and was comparable to the 2010-2011 and 2011-2012 seasons for the same period. The death rate is stable and comparable to the 2010-2011 and 2011-2012 seasons for the same period. The main illnesses observed across all age groups are influenza, nasopharyngitis, gastroenteritis, and bronchitis.
