Summary

In Week 11 (March 9–15, 2020), activity decreased among those aged 75 and older (-11%) and children under 2 years of age (-4%), and remained stable in other age groups.

Among seasonal and non-specific indicators, there was an increase in cases of isolated fever among those aged 15–74 (+38%, or +139 cases) and those aged 2–14 (+16%, or +80 cases), acute bronchitis among children (+16%, or +188 visits) and adults aged 15–74 (+9%, or +261 visits), upper respiratory tract conditions (+8%, or +1,602 visits) among 2- to 14-year-olds and 15- to 74-year-olds, and asthma among children and 15- to 74-year-olds (+51% and +24%, or +175 and +139 visits, respectively).

Among the list of the 10 most common conditions, we observe among 2- to 14-year-olds and 15- to 74-year-olds an increase in procedures for viral syndrome (+27% and +74%, or +153 and +641 procedures, respectively) and the inclusion of the “suspected coronavirus” indicator in this same list. Among those aged 75 and older, there was an increase in procedures related to death.
