Summary
In Week 13 (March 23–28, 2020), total activity at SOS Médecins clinics declined among those under 15 years of age (-43%, or 6,926 fewer visits) and those aged 15–74 (-9%, or 3,927 fewer visits). It increased moderately among those aged 75 and older (+8%, or +426 cases).
Over the past week, 12,167 cases involving suspected coronavirus were recorded. These cases are up by +33% (or +3,034 cases) and account for 23% of total activity across all age groups (vs. 15% the previous week). They are particularly notable among those over 15, with increases ranging from 30% to 83% (in ascending order of age groups). Five regions recorded the highest number of cases: Île-de-France (24%), Grand-Est (12%), Nouvelle-Aquitaine (12%), Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (11%), and PACA (10%). Since the start of surveillance, 23,849 cases have been recorded in the network.
Among the 10 most common conditions, there has been a sharp increase in procedures for anxiety (+39%, or +637 procedures) among adults, and for heart conditions (+45%), deterioration in general health (+28%), death (+23%), and trauma (+10%) among those aged 75 and older.
