Key Points

In week 41 (October 6–12, 2025), activity at SOS Médecins clinics rose slightly among children under 2 years of age (+5%, or +324 visits), while remaining stable in other age groups.

Among respiratory indicators, there was an increase in cases compared to levels observed in previous years:

  • Among children: bronchiolitis in those under 1 year of age (+18%, or +26 cases), acute bronchitis and influenza/flu-like syndrome in those under 2 years of age (respectively +16% and +20%, or +30 and +10 cases), and pneumonia in those under 15 years of age (+16%, or +27 cases).

  • Among those aged 75 and older: asthma attacks (+25%, or +13 cases), influenza/flu-like illness (+20%, or +19 cases), upper respiratory tract disorders (+18%, or +67 cases), and pneumonia (+6%, or +22 cases).

In contrast, procedures for suspected COVID-19 are down across all age groups (-17%, or -468 procedures).

Among other indicators, there was an increase in:

  • Isolated fever across all age groups (+17%, or +113 visits) and viral syndrome in children aged 2–14 (+8%, or +31 visits).

  • Digestive disorders: gastroenteritis in children under 2 and adults aged 75 and older (up 10% and 19%, respectively, or 33 and 21 visits), vomiting in children aged 2–14 and adults aged 15–74 (up 17% and 8%, respectively, or 26 and 22 visits).

  • Pediatric conditions (under 2 years old): infectious conjunctivitis (+49%, or +82 visits), various dermatological conditions (+28%, or +27 visits), and fungal infections (+15%, or +11 visits).

  • Anxiety among children under 15 and adults aged 15–44 (up 32% and 6%, respectively, or 9 and 53 visits).
