In week 40 (September 30–October 6), the total number of visits to SOS Médecins clinics rose again among children under 2 years of age (+8%, or 430 more visits) and remained stable in other age groups.

Over the past week, there was an increase in respiratory conditions among children under 2 years of age (bronchiolitis +29%, bronchitis +18%, and respiratory tract conditions +9%, representing an increase of 370 visits) and, to a lesser extent, among those aged 75 and older.
Consultations increased across all age groups for isolated fever (+22%, or +165 consultations, except among children under 2 years of age), asthma (+11%, or +117 consultations), and gastroenteritis (+9%, or +501 consultations, except among those aged 75 and older). There was also an increase in cases of fainting among those aged 15–74 (+13%, or +30 cases).

Among the most common conditions, there was an increase in cases of infectious conjunctivitis (+9%) among children under 2 for the third consecutive week, trauma (+9%) among 2- to 14-year-olds, and cardiac conditions (+17%) and general health deterioration (+10%) among those aged 75 and older.
