Overall Summary
In Week 40 (September 28–October 4, 2026), emergency department activity across the OSCOUR® network remained stable compared to the previous week across all age groups. Among SOS Médecins affiliates, activity increased among those aged 75 and older and remained stable across all other age groups.
We note a continued increase in respiratory indicators at levels comparable to previous years:
- Influenza/flu-like illness among children under 2 years of age in the SOS Médecins network and among those aged 75 and older in both networks;
- Suspected COVID-19 cases across all age groups in the SOS Médecins network;
- Pneumonia among those aged 75 and older in the SOS Médecins network;
- Bronchiolitis among children under 1 year of age in the SOS Médecins network.
The number of deaths from all causes reported by INSEE remained within the usual range of fluctuation in S39-2026 across all age groups, both nationally and regionally.
