Health Recommendations for Travelers, 2016 - Weekly Epidemiological Bulletin, 2016, Special Issue

These recommendations were developed by the Committee on Travel-Related and Imported Diseases and adopted by the High Council for Public Health. They take into account, in particular, the 2016 Vaccination Schedule, data from the National Reference Center for Malaria, the National Reference Center for Arboviruses, and Santé publique France, as well as—for vaccines and medications—the National Agency for the Safety of Medicines and Health Products (ANSM). They apply to all travelers, regardless of their destination or travel conditions. They emphasize the importance—in preventing travel-related illnesses—of vaccination, malaria chemoprophylaxis, protection against mosquitoes and other arthropods, food safety practices, and handwashing.
