The Early Impact of Parental “Technoference” on a Baby’s Development

From the very first months of life, screens intrude on families’ daily lives, disrupting essential interactions between parents and children. In a 2023 survey, more than half of mothers acknowledged that their cell phones regularly disrupted the time they spent with their babies. This phenomenon, known as “parental techno-interference,” impairs the quality of emotional bonds and threatens the cognitive, emotional, and social development of young children.
