Reaching Out to the Elderly: Staying at Home While Receiving Support from Nursing Home Professionals [Interview].

The French Red Cross and other partners are piloting a home-based support program called Vivre@lamaison in seven French regions, designed to help older adults remain in their own homes. Under this program, professionals—including doctors, psychologists, psychomotor therapists, and occupational therapists—visit older adults in their homes. A key feature of this innovative program is that it has been thoroughly evaluated by external organizations, including Paris-Dauphine University and the Reims Gerontology Center. The positive results of this evaluation have paved the way for the program’s expansion.
