Typhoid and Paratyphoid Fever in France in 2001

Typhoid and paratyphoid fever are notifiable diseases. This article describes the main epidemiological characteristics of 92 cases reported in France in 2001: incidence rates in France and the French overseas departments, distribution by age and sex, place of infection, monthly distribution of cases, clinical course, and clusters of cases.
