Consolidated results of Flash Survey #15 (July 13, 2021)

2,600 samples from 16 regions/territories in mainland France and overseas territories (29.7% of the 8,766 positive cases reported today).

The following variants of concern were detected among the samples:

  • In mainland France:

    • 87.9% of 21A variants (Delta, B.1.617.2, first identified in India)

    • 8.6% of 20I variants (Alpha, V1, B.1.1.7, first identified in the United Kingdom)

    • 1.6% of 20J variants (Gamma, V3, P.1, first identified in Brazil)

    • 0.5% of 20H variants (Beta, V2, B.1.351, first identified in South Africa)

    • 0.5% of 20I/484K variants (B.1.1.7 + E484K, first identified in the United Kingdom)

  • Overseas territories:

    • In Guadeloupe: no samples included

    • In Martinique: 94.9% Alpha variants and 5.1% Delta variants

    • In French Guiana: sample size too small to produce interpretable results; however, the Gamma variant has been detected

    • In Réunion: 91.2% Beta variants and 8.8% Delta variants

    • In Mayotte: no samples included
