Consolidated results of Flash Survey #21 (August 24, 2021)
4,152 samples from 15 regions/territories in mainland France and overseas territories (19% of the 21,356 positive cases reported today), of which 3,722 yielded interpretable results.
The following variants of concern were detected among the samples:
In mainland France:
99.8% of 21A variants (Delta, B.1.617.2, first identified in India)
0.2% of 20I variants (Alpha+/-484K/Q, V1, B.1.1.7, first identified in the United Kingdom)
< 0.1% of 20A variants (Gamma, V3, P.1, first identified in Brazil)
In the Overseas Territories:
In Guadeloupe: 100% Delta variants
In Martinique: did not participate in Flash Survey #21
In French Guiana: no participation in Flash Survey #21
In Réunion: 84.9% Delta variants, 13.7% Beta variants, and 1.4% Alpha variants
In Mayotte: did not participate in the Flash#21 survey (very low number of positive cases).
