Consolidated results of Flash Survey #25 (September 21, 2021)
1,788 samples from 17 regions/territories in mainland France and overseas territories (28% of the 6,376 positive cases reported today), of which 1,608 yielded interpretable results. The following variants of concern were detected among the samples:
In mainland France: 99.9% of variants 21A/I/J (Delta, B.1.617.2, AY*, first identified in India)
In Guadeloupe: sample sizes too small to produce interpretable results; however, Delta accounts for all 18 sequenced samples with an interpretable result
In Martinique: 100% Delta variants
In French Guiana: no participation in the Flash#25 survey
In Réunion: 100% Delta variants
In Mayotte: sample size too small to produce interpretable results
