Key Points

  • From September 30 to October 6, 2024 (Week 40), nationwide, asthma-related visits among children under 15 continued to decline in both networks. The share of activity in both networks remained comparable to previous seasons.

  • The number of emergency room visits is down (-328 visits, or -10%), as is the number of SOS Médecins calls (-85 calls, or -9%).

  • The share of activity in emergency departments (3.6%) and at SOS Médecins (2.2%) is also down for the fourth consecutive week.

  • In the Indian Ocean region, the trend is toward stabilization at levels comparable to previous years. The number of visits and the share of activity are up very slightly (77 visits and 6.2%, respectively, or +2 visits and +0.3%).
