Key Points

In the Indian Ocean region, during the 8th school week in Mayotte and the 9th in Réunion, the number of emergency department visits for asthma among children under 15 is down (52 vs. 74 visits in Week 41), and the proportion of hospitalizations following visits is up (38% vs. 32%
in Week 41). The proportion of emergency department visits for asthma among children is down slightly but remains high compared to previous years.

Nationally, during the 7th week of school in mainland France, asthma-related visits in children under 15 are slightly down in emergency departments (-14%, or 65 fewer visits) as well as within the SOS Médecins network (-5%, or 108 fewer cases).

The levels of visits observed in emergency departments are slightly higher than those of the past three years, while they have returned to normal levels for SOS Médecins.
