Zoonotic Influenza in the Hauts-de-France Region. Bulletin dated July 8, 2026.

Key Points

From August 1, 2025, to May 31, 2026: 

  • In the Hauts-de-France region, six outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) have been confirmed, spread across the departments of Nord, Pas-de-Calais, and Somme. 
  • Around these outbreaks, 59 exposed individuals were identified.
  • Of the 59 exposed individuals, 28 were tested (47%), and all test results were negative.
  • No human cases were detected.
