Dengue Surveillance in Guadeloupe and the Northern Islands. Update as of October 10, 2019.

Epidemiological Situation

The increase in the number of clinically suspected dengue cases reported by the network of private general practitioners continues and has exceeded the epidemic threshold for the first time.
This increase, which began in July 2019, is also reflected in the number of laboratory-confirmed cases, with 128 confirmed cases recorded since that date. These laboratory-confirmed cases are spread across 19 municipalities. In Marie-Galante, there is very active circulation of the virus, with 23 laboratory-confirmed cases over the past 4 weeks.
The epidemiological situation is therefore being closely monitored, as all surveillance indicators are on the rise.
