Epidemiological Situation of Dengue Fever in Saint Martin. Update as of August 29, 2013.
Situation Analysis
The dengue epidemic continues, and the decline anticipated in the last epidemiological update did not materialize during the third and fourth weeks of August (2013-33 and 34). The widespread prevalence of the DEN-4 serotype, which has been absent from Saint Martin for eight years, may help explain the duration of the outbreak. The dengue situation in Saint Martin remains that of a confirmed outbreak: Phase 3 of Psage**.** Psage = Program for Surveillance, Alert, and Management of Epidemics
