Situation Analysis

All epidemiological indicators point to a significant increase in viral circulation over the past five weeks, with figures exceeding the expected maximum values for clinically suggestive cases and biologically confirmed cases. This is accompanied by a geographic spread to nearly all of Guadeloupe. The DENV-1 and DENV-4 serotypes are co-circulating, with a slight predominance of DENV-1. The Expert Committee on Infectious and Emerging Diseases has determined that the situation corresponds to Phase 4, Level 1 of the Psage Dengue system (onset of an epidemic).
