Situation Analysis

Across the entire department, epidemiological surveillance indicators remain low, below the maximum values expected for the season. For several weeks now, the dengue outbreak in the municipality of Trinité has reactivated with the emergence of new confirmed cases in several neighborhoods, whereas no new cases had been recorded between December 13, 2012, and February 5, 2013. Vector control measures are underway. The epidemiological situation of dengue in Martinique corresponds to Phase 2, Level 1 of the PSAGE dengue protocol: isolated outbreak(s).
