COVID-19

  • In Week 50, SARS-CoV-2 transmission is slowing but remains at a high level in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. The number of SOS Médecins calls, emergency room visits, and new hospitalizations is declining; however, the number of people hospitalized remains high.

Bronchiolitis in children under 2

  • 10th epidemic week.

  • The epidemic trend for bronchiolitis continues to decline in Week 50 but remains high.

  • Hospitalizations for bronchiolitis account for 50% of all hospitalizations in this age group in S50.

Influenza

  • 3rd epidemic week

  • During week 50, in hospital settings, according to data from the Oscour® network, emergency department visits for all ages in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes for a diagnosis of influenza or influenza-like illness are rising sharply.

  • In private practice, according to SOS Médecins data, the number of procedures is high and continues to rise in Week 50, with 1,543 procedures for influenza/influenza-like illness recorded (vs. 894 procedures in Week 49), representing 17.1% of total activity (vs. 9.9% in Week 49).
