Bronchiolitis in children under 2

• 11th epidemic week

• In Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, the epidemic trend for bronchiolitis continues to decline in Week 51 but remains high.

• Oscour® Network: Emergency room visits for bronchiolitis in children under 2 continue to decline in Week 51 in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.

• SOS Médecins associations: procedures for the diagnosis of bronchiolitis in children under 2 years of age are decreasing, with 36 procedures in Week 51, representing 7.2% of the overall activity of SOS Médecins associations in this age group (vs. 10.6% in Week 50).

Influenza

• 4th epidemic week

• Oscour® Network: Emergency room visits for all ages in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes for the diagnosis of influenza/influenza-like illness are at a high level, exceeding the epidemic peaks of 2021-2022 and 2019-2020, and rising sharply.

• SOS Médecins associations: the number of procedures is high, exceeding the 2021-2022 and 2019-2020 epidemic peaks, and continues to rise in Week 51 with 1,790 cases of influenza/influenza-like illness recorded (vs. 1,543 cases in Week 50), representing 21.2% of total activity (vs. 17.1% in Week 50).

• Sentinel Network: The incidence rate of influenza-like illness cases seen in general practice is very high and rising, with the rate increasing from 274 per 100,000 inhabitants (95% CI [217–331]) in Week 50 to 323 per 100,000 inhabitants (95% CI [247–399]) in Week 51, an increase of 18%.
