Key Points

COVID-19

  • In Week 41, SARS-CoV-2 circulation is epidemic but stabilizing in the region (incidence rate of 701 per 100,000 inhabitants, down 4%). Incidence rates are highest and still rising among those aged 70 and older. Hospitalizations are stabilizing.

Monkeypox

  • 268 cases of monkeypox have been confirmed in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes as of 10/18/22.

Bronchiolitis

  • Epicemic phase

  • In hospital settings, according to data provided by the emergency departments of the Oscour® network, emergency room visits and hospitalizations for a diagnosis of bronchiolitis among children under 2 years of age in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes increased in week 41 (October 10–16, 2022) compared to previous weeks.

Chikungunya, dengue, Zika

  • 26 imported cases of dengue and 2 imported cases of chikungunya as of 10/19/22.
