Key points

Bronchiolitis

  • SOS Médecins activity is decreasing (4.1% in S05 vs. 5.9% in S-1)

  • Bronchiolitis-related activity is slightly down, with 80 cases out of 1,030 visits (8.0% vs. 10.8% in S-1) in emergency departments

Flu

  • Flu-related activity is increasing in Week 5 for SOS Médecins, with nearly 730 cases out of 3,800 (19.1% vs. 15.2% in Week 1), as well as in emergency departments, with approximately 550 flu cases (3.3% of visits vs. 3.2% in Week 1)

  • In the region’s medical-social facilities, 22 clusters of influenza cases have been reported since Week 51. The majority of these clusters occurred between Weeks 2 and 4

  • Since November 2023, 19 severe cases of influenza admitted to intensive care (16 influenza A, including 2 A(H1N1), 1 influenza B, and 2 unspecified) have been reported

Acute gastroenteritis

  • Activity at SOS Médecins clinics for acute gastroenteritis is moderate, accounting for 6.0% of visits (vs. 8.0% in Week 1).

  • Emergency department activity for acute gastroenteritis is moderate, with a visit rate of 1.5% in S05 (vs. 1.4% in S-1).

COVID-19

  • The spread of SARS-CoV-2 continues to slow in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.
