Key Points

COVID-19

  • In Week 3, there was a slight decrease in the number of PCR tests, with 14,720 tests performed (-9.7% compared to Week 2, unconsolidated data), and a decrease in the number of antigen tests, with 5,423 antigen tests performed (-29.5% compared to Week 2, unconsolidated data). The decline in the incidence rate (IR) continues in parallel with declines in the testing rate (TR) and the positivity rate (PR).

  • Oscour®: slight decrease in the number of emergency room visits in W03 (41 vs. 50 in W02, a decrease of 18%); 63% of visits resulted in hospitalization in W03 (vs. 70% in W02).

  • SOS Médecins: the number of SOS Médecins consultations remained stable compared to the previous week (15 in W03 vs. 18 consultations in W02). Suspected COVID-19 cases accounted for 0.4% of SOS Médecins activity in W03 (compared to 0.5% in W02).

Influenza and influenza-like illnesses

  • Post-epidemic activity.

  • Slight increase in emergency room visits and stabilization of SOS Médecins consultations.

  • Increase in the detection of influenza B virus according to data from the virology laboratories at Rennes University Hospital and Brest University Hospital.

Acute gastroenteritis

  • Moderate activity. Increase in emergency room visits for gastroenteritis across all age groups.
