Key Points

COVID-19

  • In Week 06, the incidence rate (IR), testing rate (TR), and positivity rate (PR) remained stable.

  • Oscour®: Stable number of emergency department visits in Week 08 (26 visits); 69% of visits resulted in hospitalization in Week 08 (compared to 64% in Week 07). Suspected COVID-19 cases accounted for 0.2% of emergency department activity across all age groups (compared to 0.2% in Week 07).

  • SOS Médecins: low number of SOS Médecins consultations (26 consultations in S08 compared to 21 in S07). Suspected COVID-19 cases accounted for 0.7% of SOS Médecins activity in S08 (compared to 0.6% in S07). The number of consultations is low across all age groups.

Influenza and influenza-like illnesses

  • Epidemic activity,

  • Declining phase.

  • Decrease in SOS Médecins consultations and emergency room visits.

  • Decrease in the circulation of influenza B virus according to the virology laboratories at the Rennes and Brest University Hospitals. Circulation of influenza A virus is low but persistent.

Acute gastroenteritis

  • Moderate activity.

  • Decrease in emergency room visits across all age groups and stabilization of SOS Médecins consultations.

Bronchiolitis

  • End of the epidemic.
