Extreme heat, heat wave

  • The heat wave alert has been lifted since September 15, 2024.

  • Indicators are close to previous years’ values for this period, excluding the heat wave.

Pneumonia

  • Respiratory illness activity is consistent with levels observed over the past two years during the same period for hospital emergency departments, and slightly higher for community-based emergency services.

Asthma

  • A very sharp increase in emergency room visits and SOS Médecins consultations compared to week 36, as is typically observed during the back-to-school period, but more significant than in the past two seasons.

Allergies

  • Increase in the number of emergency room visits for allergies in week 37.

  • Decrease in the number of SOS Médecins consultations for allergies.
