  • The incidence of tuberculosis is estimated at 4.8 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, ranking the region 9th in mainland France.

  • The incidence of tuberculosis is declining in all departments of the region except Ille-et-Vilaine.

  • The number of active tuberculosis cases among people born abroad and those born in France is equivalent.

  • Among cases born abroad, the majority are diagnosed within two years of arriving in France

  • Isolated pulmonary forms or those associated with extrapulmonary sites are the vast majority (69%). Among pulmonary forms, one-third are bacilliferous.

  • Meningeal or miliary forms remain rare (5.5% of cases) and did not involve children under the age of 15.

  • In nearly 80% of cases, the diagnosis was made following spontaneous presentation to the healthcare system, and in 10% of cases during an investigation into a case.

  • Thirteen percent of cases were identified in group living settings.
